Christopher Webster [Cathode Ray Mission 05.04.09] Tuvalu post apocalyptic news scifi

Lets face it folks, genre tv is looking mighty bleak right now. Jericho is long gone, BSG is fraking done, Lost is heading into its last season, TSCC is on the chopping block, Heroes is more ridiculous than ever and Fringe is, well, boring as hell. It's the perfect time to have a show like NBC's Day One looming on the horizon, taunting us with it's post-apocalyptic mysteries.

Coming from Alias, Lost and Heroes alumni Jesse Alexander, Day One promises to be everything we've come to expect from our twisty scifi tv. In fact, Alexander had this to say not that long ago about the show; "I think genre fans will find many references in the Day One franchise. There’s some Lost in there, there’s some Cloverfield in there, there’s some Battlestar... There are some references from when I was growing up. I’m from the Star Wars generation, so there’s a lot of references to Star Wars and Silent Running and Soylent Green, all the Peter Hyams movies and Mospeada, the Robotech series..."

Unfortunately, we won't be seeing a pilot for Day One until 2010. Until then dig on these six behind the scenes interview clips (via io9) with the cast and crew of the series.

It looks like NBC has invested some money in the production of the pilot "Day One". Looks like the post-apocalyptic genre isn't dead on Network TV just yet. Maybe someday soon SciFi channel will produce a P-A series that has more than on one season.

What i wanna know is, why they take always just beautiful People for new Series.

In P-A Series/Movies i will see people like you and me, not a cast full of Models...
