Jake West's British horror flick, Doghouse, is a film we've covered a lot over the last year or so and I'm actually a little shocked it hasn't received any kind of release yet. Considering West's first film, Evil Aliens, was such a gore-fueled hit with the cult crowd I'd of thought it would have been rushed to completion. Perhaps all the better it wasn't though because the film keeps looking better and better.

Perhaps the release of this second trailer, which features a decidedly bad American narrator, should be considered a light at the end of the tunnel for the film which actually looks great.

Synopsis:
Danny is handling his divorce badly. He’s depressed. Gone to pieces. But his mates aren’t giving up on him. Struggling with their own mid-life troubles, they drag him off for a boy’s weekend in the country... which goes horribly twisted when they find themselves holidaying in a village overrun by psychotic, homicidal women.

Ahhh, I can hear the angry feminists from here.

Doghouse is getting a UK release on June 12, 2009. Still no word on an American release though and wouldn't hold your breath. We'll probably see a R2 dvd release before we get a theatrical run. Which is fine with me. Bring it on!
