New York under martial law is fun only if zombies are involved, and in June we'll get to experience it. Prototype will be an open world video game with sandbox-style gameplay. I've been following the development of this game for a while now, and until Quiet Earth sent me the trailer below, I thought it would be little more than Grand Theft Auto with superpowers. This looks to be a great game, being able to hyper-parkour across Manhattan to violently bisect anyone you encounter. This will be out on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows in North America on June 9th, and in the EU on June 12th.
The Prototype Website has lots of gameplay footage but the trailer is after the break. Special thanks to pokerface for the heads up.
