For those of us who've read this short story, we know that this is one of King's last good bits.. but it always seems nobody translates his works onto the screen even remotely well, and such is the case here unfortunately. Not even Christian Slater and Wes Bentley can save this one, and the fact that the trailer is just one big spoiler is a real turn off.

Robinson is a non-descript middle school teacher whose beloved wife, Elizabeth, witnesses an execution in the desert and becomes a target for the executioner, notorious Las Vegas crime boss Jimmy Dolan. Dolan’s vast wealth was accumulated through his human trafficking operation, a lucrative business he will not jeopardize. The mobster succeeds in having Elizabeth killed before she can testify against him. Without a witness to the murders, Dolan goes free. The Knowledge that Dolan is behind Elizabeth’s death fosters in Robinson an insatiable thirst for revenge. However, Dolan is virtually untouchable traveling only in his custom Cadillac with tank-like protection. On a steep descent into madness, Robinson begins seeing visions of his dead wife wherever he goes. Spurred on by Elizabeth’s spectre, Robinson begins his elaborate plan to kill Jimmy Dolan.

Trailer after the break. You've been warned.

Why do horror trailers always show the ending?

They just told the whole story in that trailer! And by the way it is based on King's short story, not even a novel.
I've read it some time ago but I remember that the whole plot about truck with refugees and the woman on the horse was not there. The short story is about hero's preparations to kill the bad guy, and the reason why is told in just few paragraphs. Although it was indeed revenge for killing his wife due to her testimony. But I don't remember much dialogs at all, only at the end.

Well great, now I don't have to see the movie. Poorly done. The writer/producer for this preview should be FIRED.
