There have been some rumblings that the Spierig brothers' highly anticipated sophomore flick, Daybreakers, was either pushed back or in some sort of production trouble or something so when I say we're stoked to see the release of the first piece of promotional art, you can imagine how sincerely stoked we are.
Synopsis:
A deadly plague which breaks out in the year 2017, turning most of the human population into vampires. The dominant vampires plot a way to ensure their survival in the face of dwindling blood supplies, but a researcher (Hawke) works with a rogue group of vampires to save humankind.
Great concept no? The film stars a great cast including Ethan Hawke, Willem Dafoe, Isabel Lucas, Sam Neill and Claudia Karvan.

Also, if you haven't seen the Spierig brothers' sweet zombie alien film, Undead, it comes highly recommended.

Man, I am so hanging out to see this flick - feels like it's been ages since I first heard about it.
But based on the brother's previous effort, Undead (which was really amazing given the tiny budget it was filmed on), I have very high hopes for this.
