That's right gang, straight-to-DVD action director, Simon Fellows (Until Death, 7 Seconds), has left his partner in crime, Jean-Claude Van Damme, behind in favor of embarking a whole new filmmaking adventure... in Wonderland!

While this first footage we've dug up for this Maggie Grace and Danny Dyer starrer is pretty raw (the film is still in post) it does give us a good look at Malice In Wonderland's carnival-esque tone (someone's gone a little "dutch tilt" happy here) and fast paced nature. The Arctic Monkey's track works particularly well I think. It's not particularly mind-blowing but it should be a fun flick, and it's interesting to see Fellows go down this very different road.

Synopsis:
ALICE is an American Law student in London. Knocked down by a black cab, she wakes with amnesia in a world that’s a million miles from home - Wonderland.

We follow her adventures as she is dragged through an underworld filled with twisted individuals and the lowest low-lifes, by the enigmatic cab-driver WHITEY (The White Rabbit). She needs to find out who she is, where she’s from and use what wits she has left to get back home in one piece.

As her journey progresses she discovers nothing is what it seems, realizes that fate and life are terminally entwined, and finds true love lurking in the unlikeliest place.

As I said, Malice in Wonderland is still in post so don't expect to see it anytime soon. It played for the Cannes Film Market back in May however, so here's hoping it found some backing. Check out the promo reel after the break.
