Well, out of nowhere it seems that the best looking post-apocalyptic popcorn flick we've seen in a while just showed itself to the world. Regardless of some people's worries about Denzel Washington, this film looks un-frickin'-believable in the PA department. The photography is comic book stylish and very dark and the western feel is unmissable. Trust me, you guys aren't going to want to miss this. Shades of Mad Max, Cyborg and even Fallout abound!
Synopsis:
In a post-apocalyptic America where the once-picturesque countryside has become a desolate and violent wasteland, one man (Denzel Washington) fights to protect that sacred tome that could hold the key to the survival of the human race.
Watch the trailer in glorious HD courtesy of Apple, or after the break!

Looks to me like he's either saving the human race of hastening its extinction. (The trailer had an impressive body count.) He says in narration that he's been wandering for many years, and that he's humanity's only hope to restore civilization. Well, get on with it, dude! What are waiting for?
Anyhow, looks a ton more promising than the photos we saw a few months ago on QE. My usual snark aside, I'm looking forward to seeing it.
(Still cracking up at what Jonas wrote.)

I was expecting this to be a little more like the postman for some reason, guess it's more like waterworld...not that I'm complaining.

Funny it feels like i've been walking and waiting 30 years for this movie. The body count piles up while I wait and walk. How come Denzel looooks so good, must be all the walking. Now all he needs is a dog or perhaps a little boy.
Hey has anyone read the book?
