The Angels' Melancholy comes from director Marian Dora (who's had extensive experience working on horror and gore films like BTK Killer, Green River Killer, and Zombie Nation) and will be his second feature length film. The first, Cannibal, went straight to DVD. What ostensibly looks like an erotic thriller has the visual style of Jörg Buttgereit's Nekromantik and is more hard horror, similar to Last House on the Left. The trailer doesn't showcase much of this, but we've been told we might be able to get a red band trailer in a month.

A dark secret connects Katze and Brauth, two middle aged men. Katze has the clue that his end is near. The two friends meet again after years to share their last days in the old house where everything happened a long time ago. With three girls they met on their way, the atmosphere begins to recur a second time. When Heinrich, and old artist, decides to attend after all, the riends have their last chance to renew and cut with the history and to settle an old score. In the melancholy of the near end, Katze passes again all the situations in his life. In the hour of death, he's not alony anymore. His body is gone and his soul stays back in the same place where his destiny and fulfillment occured."

That's incredibly cryptic I know, but I've been assured this is some sick, twisted ****. Apparently the actors weren't given access to the script as Marian wanted to manipulate the actors as she saw fit. There's also a lot of animal cadavers, explicit scenes (along with tenderness), and violence.

haha more porn at QE? this is truely horrible! i m german and i feel ashamed haha. terrible voice overs and the rest of the demented sound work just reminded me of bad porn... i was just waitin for some dude to get his shlong out!

We saw the movie at Germany's Horror Festival in Erlangen. It's nothing like "Cannibal", just animal snuff (a pig and a cat),people shitting and pissing at each other and some guy jerking off until he cums + it's extremely boring " Cannibal" was great but this movie is pure garbage.
