The first trailer has dropped for Takashi Shimizu's (The Grudge) new horror film, Shock Labyrinth and while the trailer isn't exactly stellar, the film itself remains kind of a big deal as it is Japan's first mainstream 3D horror film.

According to our pals at Twitch, the film itself is based on a popular Japanese theme park ride - that's a new one - but don't worry it looks like your standard haunted hospital fair with some great creepy imagery (watch for the burlap sac bit *shivers*.

Shock Labyrinth hits local cinemas on October 17th and we fully expect there to be a better trailer soon.

Why do they always put that horrible J-Pop in trailers? Ugh.

watched it in the cinemas just now. could have been written with a better story and fewer glaring plotholes. good use of the set to give a feeling of claustrophobia though.
