UPDATE: We've got three new stills after the break!

From writer/director Jacob Tierney comes a vision of high school, straight up pinko style. As a big fan of Jay Baruchel, I'm greatly looking forward to his portrayal of "the reincarnation of Leon Trotsky" and his revolution. I'm thinking it won't be hard to get the high school kids to go along with him because they're already all commies anyways. Hah! The Trotsky will have it's world premier at TIFF.

We've got an inquiry in to the production company so hopefully we can get some more soon, or at least find out when we can see a trailer.

Leon Bronstein (Jay Baruchel) is not your average Montreal West high school student. For one thing, none of his peers can claim to be the reincarnation of early 20th century Soviet iconoclast and Red Army hero, Leon Trotsky. When his father (Saul Rubinek) sends Leon to public school as punishment for starting a hunger strike at Papa’s clothing factory, Leon quickly lends new meaning to the term “student union,” determined as he is to live out his pre-ordained destiny to the fullest and change the world.

Bigger version of still after the break.
