A graduate masters in film and architecture as well as an avid Quiet Earth reader, George Thomson has just passed along a short film he's completed called The Resort. An intriguing combination of models and animation, The Resort is a melancholy experience which, according to Thompson, "is heavily based around J.G.Ballard's writing, the film La Jetee, and other good things." How can we resist?

Synopsis:
Based on a real abandoned holiday resort in the Isle of Wight, the resorts is part derelict and part preserved, and is slowely slipping into the sea. The film goes some way to speculate the purpose of this resort, which stands alone in an abandoned and shrinking island.
