quietearth [Celluloid 10.01.09] movie trailer news thriller drama mystery

I ran across this flick yesterday and was immediately intrigued with the visual style and possibilities hinted at in the trailer, which unfortunately, has some terrible music attached to it. (This is why I've chosen to put the teaser before the trailer after the break.) While the synopsis and footage reveals very little about the story, there is a short shower scene in the trailer which implies a possible direction for the story, and furthermore invokes the name "Michael". It also reminds me of Midnight Son which has only screened once. (We had a clip for Midnight son but were asked to yank it due to an infusion of new $$)

Michael is battling his inner nature and instincts trying to live somewhat of a normal life in a turbulent world. It revolves around him and his relationships with the people he works with, the people he loves as well as the ones he doesn't.

I think they are both exquisite in terms of visuals and editing...the DP, Leo Angelos, is super talented.

I have a few issues with the longer version: 1) it's too long, 2) the music is horrible, 3) it's looks like a music video, 4) how can a trailer be that long and still not share any solid, narrative elements to it?

Other than those issues, I think it looks freaking sweet. I really did the shorter teaser.
