agentorange [Celluloid 10.25.09] movie news video fantasy



Director Albert Pyun just passed along a new clip from his upcoming sword and sorcerer romp, Tales of an Ancient Empire and since he was so impressed with everyone's feedback on the first clip he wants even more.

The clip appears about 38 minutes into the film. A sister, RAJAN, the town's bar owner (Janelle Taylor), and her daughter, ALANA (Inbar Lavi), have now joined the growing band of warriors lead by Aedan (Kevin Sorbo) and Princess Tanis (Melissa Ordway) and Malia (Sarah Schultz).

Synopsis:
The sword and sorcery epic, written by Cynthia Curnan, tells the story of a princess forced on a quest to recruit the greatest warriors of the ancient world to save her kingdom from a demonic sorceress. But the odyssey to find them reveals a secret past for all.

TOAAE is heavy into post-production so it won't be long until we get to see more. No battles or FX yet, but there's a bloody future vision (?) that gives us a glimpse at the film's darker side. So far, the film looks pretty fun!
