Dollhouse may be on hiatus but this isn’t stopping the good folks behind the production from sharing some great tidbits. Take for example the recent launch of the Rossum Corporation website which fans will recognize as the corporation behind the Dollhouse project and the ultimate destruction of the world through technology.
The site features some great bits of information including a rundown of what you need to know before becoming a Rossum client (complete with telephone number which takes you to a voice messaging system – if you get an answer, be sure to let me know).
To tie in with the Rossum launch, a second site has gone up this one from the resistance urging you to Ditch the Tech. Not much there yet except for a plea from a resistance fighter urging you to be wary of Rossum and all things technological in nature and a link to a poster (featured on the right) urging you not to use your cell phone (keep your eyes peeled on the streets of the major metros – it wouldn’t surprise me to see some of these posters make their way onto the streets).
Viral marketing isn’t usually my cup of tea but I love the universe Joss Whedon is building with Dollhouse and though on the show we only get glimpses of the big picture, it’s awesome to see some material that fills in the back-story (or hints at what is to come). I’ll watch anything that’ll explain how the universe ends up as we saw it in “Epitaph One.”
“Ditch the Tech” plea after the break.
