The folks at Platinum Studios are on a pretty big roll with a number of their comic book properties recently being optioned for big screen adaptations (the one I'm most interested in seeing is Scott Mitchell Rosenberg's "Atlantis Rising" which we previous talked about here and here) and now it looks as though another Platinum title is headed for the big screen. This time around, it's Scott O. Brown's "Nightfall."

Inspired by Joss Whedon's Buffy and Angel television shows, the comic centres on David Paxton, a criminal who finds himself on the way to a tough Texas prison which happens to be run by vampires.

I'm not familiar with Brown's comic but I did like his work on "Atlantis Rising" and will have to make an effort to check out this title.

There aren't many other details on the project at the moment but it's one we'll be keeping an eye on. Sounds like a promising premise!
