Posted under: post apocalyptic zombie trailer news indie

And they say zombies are currently out of fashion. Looking at the number of zombie movies made every year, I’d say whoever thinks that is out to lunch. What is harder to find is a zombie movie with a little something special. Kevin Richmond’s latest film may be such a one.

Written and directed by Richmond, One Last Sunset is the story of two sisters who are the last survivors of an “apocalyptic viral outbreak that turns people to flesh-eating monsters” (aka as zombies).

The teaser trailer doesn’t give much on the film’s plot but I was immediately taken by the opening image which I still can’t quite make out but something about it and the sound design has me interested. Is that the two sisters? Could be but one of them looks dead...I’m willing to find out.

Thanks to Avery for the heads up on this one.

Teaser after the break.

The budget looks low but the sound design is great. I'm not a big fan of running zombies but still, this looks pretty boss! Thanks for the teaser.

The camera work and picture quality is great and the sound definetly stands out. Looks good!

I think the only reason we get so many no budget zombie movie is because they're so easy to make and (in most cases) show very little in the way of characterization or plot. Does that make them popular?

@witchman - Maybe but very few are actually worth seeing.

Almost all the zombies were female. I wonder if that's important.

I hate to say this, as I am sure I will be lynched but:

(1) This looks like Matt Hope's film, The Vanguard and..
(2) This is the first time I have ever fast forwarded a trailer.

Looks mediocre at best.

hey this will be a good movie. Considering all the effort that everyone placed into this movie and all the fun we had it does not matter. Through making this film many of the zombies had the chance to make many new friends. I enjoyed the experience I wag given.

some hair raising moments...serious acting and rising stars e.g. the little girl (the secret life of bees)and the sisters (tainted Love)
