Filmmaker James Crawley is famous for two things: Making the most popular independent Star Trek production, Star Trek Phase II, and buying the rights to Buck Rogers, the pulp scifi hero created back in the 20s.

Back in January, the Cawley Entertainment Company said they planned to make a groundbreaking web-series that would combine the romance of pulp adventure with a unique retro-future vision to stay true to the iconic characters. The plan was to release 20 episodes per year starting in the fall of 2010. No tall order for a simple web-series.

So now that the first teaser trailer for the series has hit have they come through on their promise? The answer to that would seem to be a resounding hell yeah. The teaser may not show much, but it appears to have nailed a perfect world war I meets the future vibe and I'm very much looking forward to seeing more.

That looked cool. Reminds me of the old black and white Buck Rogers that would come on TV at midnight Fridays when I was just a young lad.

Twiki was from the 1970s series, which is not this production--Thank The Lord.

I'd rather watch Slingers (sick and tired of remakes).
