I want to know where Mike Sizemore’s been hiding because someone with this much talent and wicked cool idea should be a household name. Honestly, I haven’t been this excited for a sci-fi television show since I first got a taste of “Firefly.”

“Slingers” could be summed up as Sizemore’s vision of Oceans 11 (we’re talking old school here) meets AI: Artificial Intelligence. Part heist, part drama, part action, it’s a gorgeously realized mix of 60s cool and futuristic design. The only problem is that this show isn’t off the ground yet.

This sizzle reel does just that: it sizzles awesome. It’s breathtakingly beautiful, full of little gadgets that make you oohhh and aaahhh but most of all, it hints at a universe ripe for more great stories.

Fingers crossed that the eventual pilot gets picked up. I’d hate to see this turn into another “Global Frequency.”

At last! A science fiction show I can get excited about! Slingers seems to have a Cowboy Bebop vibe, which is definitely a good thing. Enough with the Star Trek/Star Wars clones (pun intended)!

Can't wait!

Awesome... Simply awesome. Style, comedy and amazing tech, this should, if ANYONE has ANY sense, go far.

Wow, just add some firefly/serenity with some Mos Eisley and a dash looming fear of Aliens and youve got a show that could last more than one season ;)
