I wasn't the biggest fan of Eli Roth's Cabin Fever, but I LOVED Ti West's work on House of the Devil (review) and am now interested in anything he's got coming 'round the mountain- even if it is mired in studio meddling. Word is that West wanted to go a completely nutso and off-the-wall with his sequel, Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever which is why the vibe feels very different here.

Despite the rumors of Lionsgate getting in the way of West's vision, I think the trailer works and looks pretty dang fun. Definitely worth checking out.

Synopsis:
A high school prom faces a deadly threat: a flesh-eating virus that spreads via a popular brand of bottled water.

Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever stars Rider Strong, Noah Segan, Alexander Isaiah Thomas, Giuseppe Andrews, and Alexi Wasser and arrives on DVD and Blu-Ray February 16, 2010 from Lionsgate Home Entertainment.

"Do you like to party?"

I hope that guy has a bigger role.

In a Q&A at Frightfest (after House of the Devil), Ti West said Lionsgate have messed around with this soooo much he's disowned it and he's trying to get his name dissociated with any promotion. From what he was saying they have made a real shambles of it. Still, open minds eh...

This looks awful, in a fun kind of way.

I'll check this one out but I'm going to miss Jordan Ladd...I know she dies in the first one but she's still super sexy
