Variety calls the second feature from Moroccan brothers Swel and Imad Noury "visually ravishing" and that it confirms their auteur status. However, style seems to trump the motional nature of the film. I've been keeping an eye on this one and, based on the synopsis, have been eagerly awaiting a trailer which finall dropped today. The Man Who Sold the World has played the Dubai International Film Festival, Marrakech International Film Festival, and is scheduled to play Berlinale.

Set in a war-torn, anonymous city where Said Bey stars as a young man who, superficially, would seem to have it all - a doting fiancee, impending marriage and a great life stretching out ahead of him. But, for some reason, our hero can't cope with this idyllic existance and begins a nightmarish spiral into insanity.

Trailer after the break.
