I’m trying to control my excitement but frankly, it’s kind of hard when that something is this awesome.

Alp Allen Altiner is a visual FX supervisor working in the film industry but he’s also an aspiring (and very talented I might add) director. He’s made a number of previous shorts but his new project, a short film called Experiment Red looks so bad ass, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to share a few clips.

What’s it about? Well, alien abductions and perhaps a little more since the second clip has Miranda, a biologist, onboard an alien ship.

I’m eagerly anticipating the finished product. Looks awesome!

nice color treatment. camera work is trying something, not quite getting there but gd nevertheless. love the set design too.

cinematically i really think visual fx designers gone directors are the better practitioners. they just need to have a talent or learn how to deal with storylines and actors.

Alp is a good friend of mine, and did all of this while maintaining a very tough work schedule. He is an incredible talent, with the work ethic to match... I'm very proud of him, and cannot wait to see it myself!
