Okay so we know that Splice is making an appearance at Sundance this year, but the film has been popping up at fests since last year at this time. Isn't it about time the world got a complete look at what Vincenzo Natali and Guillermo del Toro have been slaving away on for years now?

Anyway, I don't need to tell you again how much we're waiting in anticipation for this amazing looking twist on the Frankenstein story, so just check out the clip (via: STYD).

Synopsis:
Elsa and Clive, two young rebellious scientists, defy legal and ethical boundaries and forge ahead with a dangerous experiment: splicing together human and animal DNA to create a new organism. Named "Dren", the creature rapidly develops from a deformed female infant into a beautiful but dangerous winged human-chimera, who forges a bond with both of her creators - only to have that bond turn deadly.

Clip after the break.

Yeah, just when you forget the thing was even made they throw it out there again. They'll probably sit on this for a few years and then shoot it straight to DVD. Hollywood sucks.

I agree that Hollywood sucks when it comes to holding back interesting movies like this. I just want to see it now!
