Marvel and Electric Shepherd Productions have released the first pages anyone's seen from their comic adaptation of Philip K. Dick's short story, "Electric Ant." Yes this falls a little outside our realm of reporting. I wish it was a movie version too, but as I love Philip K. Dick I'll definitely be checking out what Marvel's done with the story.

Synopsis:
The short story is about a man who wakes from a car crash to find that he is not human, but only an "electric ant" (as in, an an organic robot). What he has always believed to be his reality is actually being fed to him through a cassette recorder embedded in his chest.

Celebrated writer David Mack (Daredevil, Kabuki) and artist Pascal Alixe (Ultimate X-Men, 1602: Fantastik Four) spearheaded the series of comics that are due on store shelves in April 2010.

Check out the first pages from "Electric Ant" after the break.
