The first teaser for Luc Besson’s Adèle Blanc-Sec, an adventure tale set in the early 20th century and starring Louise Bourgoin as Adèle, the female adventurer and up and coming journalist looking for her big break, didn’t really give much information on the film other than the fact that it would surround some sort of giant, pre-historic looking bird flying around (and presumable terrorizing) the city.

Here’s the official synopsis from our original story:

An adventure set in the early party of the 20th century and focused on a popular novelist and her dealings with would-be suitors, the cops, monsters, and other distractions.

A new trailer has just appeared for the film and it’s very pretty. Not only that, it’s also much more action packed, really selling the film as a close cousin of Indiana Jones. Kudos to Besson for choosing to bring to life Jacques Tardi’s comic which features a female adventurer girls can look up to.

Trailer after the break. Kudos to Fabien for the heads up.
