So what do you do when you’ve spent the last few years in college working on a film theory degree? You return home to see your family and hopefully, start your life but things aren't really going smoothly for 22-year-old Aura. She’s finished school, back at home with her teenaged sister and her artist mother with no job, no skills (other than writing papers) and no friends.

Lena Dunham’s Tiny Furniture makes its way through Aura’s life at the critical moment: when her life should be moving forward instead, Aura’s sort of stuck and she’s not happy. The film stars Dunham and her real-life family in a “tragicomedy about what does and does not happen when you graduate with no skills, no love life, and a lot of free time.”

I love the clean, crisp look of this trailer and this story is one that many can relate to though I have a feeling it also takes into consideration the today’s globalized world ruled by social networking prowess and YouTube.

Trailer after the break.
