"If Sergio Leone made a horror movie, this would be it." Bold words from writer director Travis Stevens; good thing he has something to show to back up that statement.

This so called trailer for Stevens' Silver Moon plays more like a short film (or a credit prologue) than a trailer. That said, I’d definitely be game to see this story expanded to a full length feature – if that’s not already in the plans.

The details around Silver Moon are vague. I know it was shot on the Red One and that all of the night scenes (basically four of the five minutes) was shot indoors using green screen composites - but that’s it. Is it Leone? Verdict's still out on that one considering we're not given a whole lot of the film here but Stevens' work does show promise.

We’re in the process of getting additional information on the project but for now, take in the awesomeness that is Silver Moon.

UPDATE: Director Travis Stevens has informed us that this is looking for the opportunity to expand this into a full length feature. He has a script and treatments for two sequels to the story but is focusing his attention on getting the Silver Moon made. We'll be bringing you more information on the project as it comes!

Trailer after the break.

Nice images, but the ramping effect and the compositing look really bad. Please don't make a feature of this.

i totally agree with the above, as an editor,
I can spot fake camera added moves in AE a mile off, and there is a ton of them. the compositing/editing is awful, shame because the costumes and pictures look really good.

flying monster just makes me think of jeepers creepers though, officially my worst horror film of all time.

Im hanging out to see a good horror western.
