The second short film from EBBËTO is currently playing the fest circuit, and at 25 minutes in length and the looks of this trailer, my jaw almost dropped. I want to see the whole thing now. Seriously, check it out folks.
The film tells the tale of a machine travelling in deep-space which has as a primary function the preservation of a living organism: a man. Strange events with biblical analogies begin, disturbing the machine and making it rethink it's priorities.
Trailer after the break.

Looks great! It somehow brings to mind a few japanese experimental films (the lab scenes from Teshigahara's "The eyes of another" & Fukui's "Rubber Lovers"). Not to mention the "THX 1138" ambience. Hopefully we'll be seeing the full version sometime in the future?

wanna see.

the cgi is a bit over styled, but an interesting premise, but visually hasn't this style of sci fi been done to death in the 90's. people are knocking out stuff better than this in there bedrooms.

ceefax, give us a link at your promo reel, we'll rip you apart with pleasure, until then show some respect, this looks nicley and clean done.
I would like to see this, as the Metropolis-Tron-Ghost in the Shell and many more interesting elements are composed right here in the few minutes.
Would like to see this in full, and I thank qe for the heads up.

ceefax... seriously, please do share with us what you have so painlessly created over the years other than LIP! And you mention "Bedroom"?! In your case, it seems more like "bathroom" while you were in... uh... "busy".

...shaving probably... LOL
O yeah I forgot to add the Fifth Element reference ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-3AMq8XGaA ) of robotic hands when creating Lilu Dallas... :)
We see that here when the doctor creates the body, cell by cell, and tissue grows, which is nothing short of amazing animation.
Ghost in the Shell starts just like that ( http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x67gz_clip-ghost-in-the-shell ).
Mega cool.

Yeah! Good references should always be honoured and remembered.

i have to agree with ceefax.. even tho this video is very interesting and I am curious to see where it is headed. ceefax makes a valid point that there are many bedroom studios pushing the envelope way past this.

My God it's so pretentious! Can nobody see that? This piece is a lingering turgid love song to itself with no originality or engagement. And throw in some fuzzy grading. Really arty, man.

Slightly interesting, but mostly annoying. All style, no substance. 25 minutes of this would certainly put me to sleep...

For those who have not seen the whole movie, is already available on vimeo, awesome. I'll have to see again, we have a lot to digest after playing. nice
