According to /Film, Foresight Unlimited has announced that Universal Soldier 4 goes into production this fall, and that its stars, Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren along with director John Hyams are all returning to the project. No convinced? The film will also be released in 3D. Bam!
/Film is right to ask what the motivation behind the 3D is considering the film will more than likely not even hit theaters. However, with 3D TVs being touted at Best Buy and early adopters calmoring to find content to watch at home I think it could end up being a modest hit feature.
What do you guys think? Is more Universal Soldiers action warranted in 3D?

If it's even half as good as Regeneration I am all for it. Someone should give Hyams a rather large stack of money to continue to make action movies.
