It's not much, but the first teaser trailer for Warhammer 40K's Ultramarines animated 3D epic has hit the nets. Right now it just sort of looks like a vidja game trailer, but that's to be expected at such an early stage. I think it's a little to early to judge what we're in for.

Also, the teaser is narrated by John Hurt which essentially elevates its to the realms of cinematic genius. God I love 1984.

Anyway, check it out after the break.

Well put together, but almost devoid of content... for something coming out this year, youd think they could have included at least a few snips of action...

Hahaha... omg you're right! Without John Hurt's narration... zzzzzzzz.... but man can that guy deliver narration. His acting alone makes me excited to see more!

You guys are fucking retarded. If the early 90s had sweet ass animations like this, I woulda watched Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles a lot more.

I so hate ultramarines, epitome of predictability and rigidity. If their codex wouldn't tell them to, they could not even wipe their arses.

Jesss guys this looks terrible! Modeling texturing, shading the lot wouldn't hold up in a modern game cinematic. To say it would is an insult.
The blur cinematic from over 5 years ago is better and their pipeline did not support even displacement back then.

Sorry to bang your work, I have no idea of the budget or time you had to do this but pull this teaser off the web.
