Devil is actually directed by Drew Dowdle who wrote Quarantine but it's based on a story by M. Night Shyamalan who is in the sh!t books with critics for Last Airbender. Will Devil, a film about a group of people trapped in a elevator who realize that the devil is among them win us all back? Watch the trailer and judge for ye self.
The film stars Chris Messina, Geoffrey Arend, Logan Marshall-Green, Bojana Novakovic, Jenny O’Hara, Bokeem Woodbine, and Jacob Vargas. It sees release September 17, 2010.

Very likely. This definitely looks great though I'm worried about Shyamalan's twists. But then maybe that's the reason he's not directing this. I hope it goes all out horror (the trailer certainly indicates as much) because it does look very, very promising.

Yikes, it seems like the concept has already been done.
But you should've mentioned the other co-director, John Erick Dowdle, as he directed Quarantine along with The Poughkeepsie Tapes, which was another Blair Witch/torture porn kinda thing.
Either one wasn't bad, and this looks a tad more original.

Hope they manage to make it interesting in such a confided space. It requires a really good script with good twists and turns. Who wrote Shyamalan's movies, but himself. The trailer looks intriguing, though, but I'm not sure. Had some expectations regarding 'The Last Airbender' as well.

I liked quarantine, but M Night has burned me before with “The Happening”. Then again his forte may be writing not directing, I’ll try and keep an open mind.
