quietearth [Celluloid 07.21.10] post apocalyptic movie news scifi action drama
This looks pretty epic in scale, at least according to the "creating of" video we have after the break. Director Alejo Mo-Sun, who also wrote the screenplay, doesn't seem to have anything else to his name and there's no mention of budget. I wonder where this will go? It kind of looks like Star Wars crossed with an 80s post apocalyptic flick. Production is already underway.
Wes Bentley (American Beauty), Angus Macfadyen (Saw III), Julian Sands ("24"), Jessica Szohr ("Gossip Girl") and Laura Ramsey (The Ruins) will star.
The story centers on a reluctant hero -- portrayed by Bentley (pictured above) -- who is marked by a dark past and who must fulfill his destiny when forced to choose between avenging the murder of his family or fighting for the freedom of a people long abused.

Wow! For an indie that's well impressive. The design looks really great. In fact I'd say they're prepping all their departments really well. I love it when something this cool comes out of the blue!
