trailer news thriller The first thing that comes to mind when I think of Indian cinema is Bollywood. Obviously, there’s more to the country’s thriving film industry than simply dance numbers and beautiful people but you’d be hard pressed to find much of it seeping into the international front.
Enter Anurag Kashyap’s latest directorial project, a thriller titled That Girl in Yellow Boots. It’s the simple story of a young woman in search of her father but during her search, she finds herself being forced to work at a massage parlour. I’ve yet to see any of Kashyap’s films but he’s not a filmmaker who shies away from controversy though this film is likely to raise that controversy to another level, uncovering some of the ugly underbelly of India.
The trailer doesn’t start off particularly well but it picks up steam as it goes along, building great momentum and unravelling an interesting story and a great looking film.
