With the recent craze of making retro ultra-low-budget scifi flicks comes a ton of garbage. And I do mean garbage. But out of this has come gems like Doctor S Battles the Sex Crazed Reffer Zombies the Movie (which we all loved) and now comes something which seems a lot like it's going the Chris Rock racist route (it's set in a ghetto, just watch the trailer) called Thems! While director Eliab Alvarez de la Campa is keeping the details under wrap on this film which is in development, he did say "The film unites 50s sci-fi camp and 70s grindhouse, which we don’t believe has been done before. Beyond that we can’t reveal much more other than it involves mutant roaches taking over the ghetto." Just f***ing DOPE!
