This project has been around since 2008, and while I can't believe it hasn't received any press, it was a television show which was "supposedly" pitched to George Lucas which is set in his Star Wars galaxy. The official website has quite a large amount of info on this proposed show and it's characters along with tantalizing news that things are in the works, but of what little concrete I can find, it's going to be a fan film now (wikipedia) and is currently in post. Admittedly the acting in the trailer we have (and it's not clear if it's a promo trailer or something from a pilot they shot) looks like a WB show, but the production design is quite rad and for all you nerds, there's lightsabers.

Here's a rundown:
Slow business and low crime has dwindled the crew economy to all but a dry bed. Hard pressed by guilt and desperate for cash, the ship's captain, Jacen Harth agrees to ferry two young Jedi Padawans across the galaxy. The trip is simple enough: safe passage to Coruscant. But there's just one thing, they're being hunted and the one who wants them dead happens to be the President of a galactic military weapons development firm which gives him pretty much limitless resources to catch them. They'll have to stay under the radar to reach their destination without incident but that's next to impossible with the increasingly annoying rival pirate Kyp Duron and his gang already hot on their trail. The Force certainly has a funny way of bringing things full circle when Ban teams up with Kyp and Jacen finds out who the maniacal tycoon really is. Running simply may not be an option.

Looks very ok - but I somehow miss some stranger aliens and this is most important, some form of masked/armored troppers / commandos, a really mysterios villain - and of course - droids. There can be no Star Wars without them:-) Perhaps the creators of this project may be able to re-shoot some stuff, adding in more Star Wars-feel.

I like the concept and being for TV, what we see may be the best we get, but again, someone is trying to do something while other shows are TV are reality or for women basicly....

looks more like Firefly...still has more life and soul than episode 1 to 3 though.
