While there's still no sign of Stephen Lang's Khalar Zym, we do have a bunch of new stills that show a moodier side to Marcus Nispel's upcoming CONAN reboot. Look carefully and you'll ctach a glimpse of Rose McGowan. Really looking forward to this one.

Synopsis:
The tale of Conan the Cimmerian and his adventures across the continent of Hyboria on a quest to avenge the murder of his father and the slaughter of his village.

I don't know... Were the Conan stories not interesting enough that they have to rewrite his origin? I would prefer just to get some of his adventures, maybe introduced like they were in the recent comic. Just give me a live-action God in the Bowl or Rogues in the House. I think Conan is plenty interesting that we don't have to add a silly revenge story.

Doesn't even sound like much of a rewrite to me. Revenge for the killing of his father and the slaughter of his village was the premise for the first Conan flick.

In any case, I'll gladly rent this one, but I doubt I'll be bothered to get off my ass to see it in the theater...unless they scrap the current script in favor of "Red Nails" or "The Hour of the Dragon".

I hope the producers come up with a more specific synopsis. There were hundreds of stories in the comic books and the basic premise of Conan is known by the fans. At least the sets look elaborate. -Mike
