agentorange [Celluloid 10.28.10] zombies movie news scifi poster horror



Quiet Earth has just received word from director Michael Bartlett that Zombie Diaries 2, now titled "World of the Dead" is full speed ahead, with filming begining imminently. He even passed along the first poster to share and has given us access to screenwriter and co-director Kevin Gates, so we will have some more info on what to expect from the sequel shortly... I'm actually hoping to get my hands on the script for review, but no promises folks.

In other Michael Bartlett news, Timeless is one step closer to getting filmed now that the film's lead, Robert Kazinsky, has been cast as Fili in Peter Jackson's The Hobbit. Bartlett predicts shooting to begin sometime in 2011. Fingers crossed!

I'm please that a sequel is in the works. Can never get enough good zombie films. Bartlet's good news about Timless may have the reverse effect and could be the final nail in the coffin for that movie. Woudl this actor go back and do a small indie film after The Hobbit? Lots has been talked about on here about Timless but there is no real progress in over 2 year other than artwork and having actor attached.
