Gary Ross, director of such films as Pleasantville and *sighs* Seabiscuit, is said to be attached to one of the most violent dystopian YA books ever written. Hmm, I wonder how this will turn out?

No pun intended, but whoever helms "The Hunger Games" adaptation should be a hungry, young up-and-comer, not the guy who wrote Mr. f'ing Baseball! This is officially going to be a Disney movie.

Perhaps with Lionsgate behind it there's still hope, but my spidey senses are telling me that this will now be less Battle Royale than Royale with cheese.

Prove us wrong Ross. Prove us wrong.

Yeah, Im not to thrilled that Gary Ross is going to have anything to do with this movie. I bet he cast Toby Mcguire as one of the boy characters. He'll definitly stink this one up too. SAD :(

Agreed. They really bit the bullet with that. And here I thought we might actually have a good movie on our hands.

Glad they got someone who knows how to get good performances and bring characters to life that are the heart of the story.

Pleasantville was good though.
