We've seen a few fan films inspired by Half Life, but Beyond Black Mesa is up there with the best of them. I came across it this morning over at Pulp Movies and was immediately impressed with the bedroom FX and filming techniques these guys use.
Synopsis:
When an army of Combine soldiers implement an elaborate plan of attack to rid the rest of those who remain, the resistance must warn the other survivers of the mass invasion, or face the reality of the extinction of the human race.

There is so much material that can be used from the "Half-Life" mythos. This trailer is great stuff, I hope they run with it!
