On some level, the atmospheric marketing for Game of Thrones scares me a little. Is HBO scared to show us something that might make us not want to catch the premiere? Are they unsure of how to sell the not-quite-fantasy TV show? Or, is it because they've had luck with the similar style of the True Blood campaigns? Either way it's got me wanting more - so I guess it's working.

This new character trailer for the show aired suring Big Love's premiere last night.

Only three months fantasy fans!

Trailer after the break.

well that didn't convince me to watch it.
I have no idea what the hell it's about. A bunch of scheming people that want to be king?

This is the best book series I have ever hands down, is about scheming people wanting power but also about a darkness rising (zombies from a frozen waste land) in the north but everyone is too busy fighting way to complex to break it down in a comment.
Trust me it is well worth the read and tuning in to this show, it will make you hate characters and love some, and ask the question what makes a hero, or somebody noble and honest the whole time you are left guessing who is playing the game.
