agentorange [Celluloid 03.03.11] movie scifi horror comedy



The trailer for 'Attack The Block,' the debut movie from Joe Cornish and starring Nick Frost, Jodie Whittaker, Luke Treadaway, Jumayn Hunter, and Danielle Vitalis has crash landed on the internet.

This one's from the producers of 'Shaun of the Dead' and 'Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World' and it's a frightening action adventure flick that pits a teen gang against an invasion of savage alien monsters! It turns a London tower block into a fortress under siege, and a weapon wielding teenage thugs into heroes. It's inner city versus outer space.

Early word suggests the film lives up to the hype and they’ll be much to enjoy when the film arrives on the 13th of May.

hmm... I was looking forward to this movie. Still am.

But. Nick Frost with that long... hair. not his best look.

and I'm not really sure about the kids. Are they trying to be more like kick-ass having kids doing the fighting.

and the aliens... over side critters?

Just from the trailer I am less excited then I was before I saw it.

I think it looks great. And I love the concept, but what do you guys think - will the accents hamper it in the US/Canada?

In the US maybe , in Canada not a problem, we still have hardcore Coronation Street fans up here.
