The Gunslinger Gifter Logan is a post-apocalyptic scifi/fantasy revenger from American newcomer Steven Ruback (Frostbite). Starring Steve Polites as "Grifter Logan," it is about "one man's journey across the wastelands to avenge the brutal murder of his family, becoming an outlaw, and a hero."
The short film has fairly overt western overtones, particularly at the beginning of the trailer, but it becomes very clear that this is a straight up PA flick, full of mutants, gas masks and showdowns on the wasteland.
Beyond the great photography and costume design, it was really the score from M.B. Weltz that drew me to the trailer. Again, it's got a great spaghetti western vibe to it, but it's also haunting.
Check out the trailer for The Gunslinger Grifter Logan after the break.
Update: If you're wonderin why the trailer is gone it's because Steven Ruback is prepping a new one featuring new footage recently shot. He tells us that means more mutants and even more mayhem. We'll post the new trailer as soon as we get the ok.

Looks like some of this was filmed in Centralia, PA. Some of it looks pretty bad, but it does have a decent PA feel. I'll probably watch it.

This looks Awesome! Apocalyptic Steampunk feel, but i think the music from the trailer is Damon Albarn

Looks rather similar to Cyborg ( 1989 ), and yes it does feel warm, fuzzy, and PA nice, for a change.
Mind you not A production, but the ql we enjoy around here.
Will watch for it.
Thank you.

Makes sense that I liked it then as I'm a big Albarn fan. Surprised I didn't recognize it. Is it from his "Ravenous?" soundtrack? Gorillaz?

Too bad it was shot like some high school grad film. They should have focused a bit more on the filmic style.

Yes, difficult to get excited when it looks that rough; unfortunately sloppy photography.

A hero who didn't look like he was 15 years old would better.
