That's right QE crew, we've got your first look at the first promotional teaser trailer for the scifi comedy Buddy Holly is Alive and Well on Ganymede starring John Heder. The film is based on the cult hit book by Bradley Denton which was originally published in 1991.

Synopsis:
Oliver Vale was conceived on February 3, 1959, the day that Buddy Holly died. Exactly thirty years later, Buddy Holly appears on every television set in the world, on every channel. Holly states that he is being held on Ganymede, and that Oliver Vale is to be contacted for assistance. He then begins performing.

As a result, Vale finds himself being pursued by agents of the Federal Communications Commission, by angry television-watchers, and by still more mysterious forces.

The film is directed by Robert Rugan (Alice's Misadventures in Wonderland) and you can check out the first teaser trailer after the break.

This looks good and Heder is a good fit. Let's hope this gets a wide release. I'm feeling hopeful.
