Okay Star Wars nuts, here's everything you need to see, hear and know about those Blu-rays coming out later this year.
Today is May 4 which as you know is "Star Wars Day" (as in May the fourth be with you) and everyone was expecting a big announcement. Not surprising, that announcement was all about the upcoming Blu-rays, so we've got a new trailer in which nothing happens, all the cover artwork for the three different sets and full special feature specs for you... and before you ask, no the "originals" are not included and, I'm sure, never will be.
You can pre-order the Star Wars: The Complete Saga (Episodes I-VI) Blu-ray
Check it all out after the break.

Not really "everything" I need to know; I can't find anywhere that states whether we get the proper versions of the original films, with a DTS track, and not the abysmal, bastardized CGI crap-fests that have been continually foisted upon us. No objection to them being present, but want the originals, or this is another Star Wars boxset that can stay on the damn shelf...

@MetalOllie
The answer is, unfortunately, you will NOT get those films in this set and, like i say above, I doubt we ever will.

"Mr. Lucas said that to release the original versions of these films on Blu-ray was “kind of an oxymoron because the quality of the original is not very good.”
“You have to go through and do a whole restoration on it, and you have to do that digitally,” he added. “It’s a very, very expensive process to do it. So when we did the transfer to digital, we only transferred really the upgraded version.”"
So this turns out to be a cheaper version then?

Pretending that what you've done is awesome does not make it awesome.
