We've been tracking Suki Singh's noir film Emulsion for some time and were pretty impressed with the first trailer for the film which was much more polished and swanky than any of us had expected.

The story of a man whose wife goes missing from a parkade, he becomes obsessed with finding out what happened to her, visiting the spot of her disappearance on a daily basis, monitoring the comings and goings in search of clues. He's there so often the company who manages the car park security hires him and it's while he's working a shift that he spots a local prostitute being abducted. He follows the car into which the prostitute is dragged, in hopes that perhaps it has some connection to his wife's disappearance, but the answers don't come easy and in this trailer, they don't seem to come at all.

There's a much longer, more descriptive plot synopsis which accompanied our first trailer for the film but Singh has released a second trailer for the project which is currently in post production with completion scheduled for this summer.

It's a nice looking piece of noir and I like the visuals quite a bit though I'm a bit confused by some of the action in the trailer and it's not really clear if Ronny, the obsessed man, is still looking for his wife or if he simply becomes embroiled in some other plot when the prostitute goes missing. Still, there's enough here that suggests this is one to keep an eye out for.
