Christopher Webster [Celluloid 05.20.11] Netherlands zombies movie news horror

It seems the horror scene in the Netherlands is on a roll! After Saint and the plans for Frankenstein's Army, there's another project announced called Shouf Shouf Zombibi. I guess the creators and actors of the film are quite famous from the Dutch movie and series "Shouf Shouf Habibi" so it's like a horror riff on those characters (?).

The bizarre story takes place in Amsterdam, a virus turns people into bloodthirsty zombies. Prepare for a lot of blood and chopped off limbs in this 16+ horror comedy.

Thanks to thefreakenstein for the heads up!

Check out the trailer for SHOUF SHOUF ZOMBIBI after the break.

1) The name of the other movie is Sint, not Saint.
2) The funny thing is that there is no hype about these movies (apart from Sint) at all nationwide. Living here in the Netherlands I am starting to think that they are actually planned to be quite a local phenomenon, and with local I mean Amsterdam.

- The international title of Sint is in fact Saint.
- It's a shame that Frankenstein's Army doesn't get a lot of attention here (in the Netherlands). But Shouf Shouf Zombibi will be a theatrical release, and with A-film distributing it probably will get more attention when the production starts.

I am not sure if your alternate spelling of Dutch has been recognized (title).

The make-up effects on this one look good, but I am not sold.:/
