French directors Raphael Hernandez and Savitri Joly-Gonfard caused a bit of a stir when the trailer for their ambitious hour-long film, Kaydara, that takes place in the cyberpunk world of The Matrix, originally created by the Wachowskis in their groundbreaking cyberpunk trilogy.

Synopsis:
Kaydara, a bounty hunter who is living separately from the Human Resistance Group, does not believe in the prophecy of 'the One.' He sees this so-called saviour as a threat to the awakening of Man's self-awareness and considers him an enemy. If their paths cross, Kaydara will not hesitate to confront him.

A quick word of advice: Don't be thrown off by "rat Neo" that occupies the first few minutes of the film. It's not the protagonist.

Watch the entire 55 minute short, Kaydara, after the break.

film eccellente! i primi minuti (chiamati ratrix) con il topolino che fa il verso a Keanu Reeves sono uno spasso! film molto bello aspetto con trepidazione il making of on line diviso in 9 parti.

Good Short amazing what two guys can do. Shows that there is still some love left for the Matrix World. Maybe Wachowskis brothers should think about returning after all.
Been awhile since I did Wing Chung, it's pretty worthless with out foot work.

It was really good, but I almost feel like they would have been better off making an original product -though I never thought that something would make me want to watch the Matrix sequels again.

I'm just a little puzzled about why the nerd guy started doing nonsensical stuff in the end. Apart from that, excellent stuff. Very well done.

Good stuff! I was surprised how much of 'the one' they integrated into the film. Excellent premise of someone rejecting the cult of Neo; almost makes for a great idea for future movies.

Excellent shots, animation, scenery.

Absolutely idiotic plot, involving idiotic premises, without any reasoning as to why whatsoever.
Mouse being one of it.
Costumes are overdone, choice of cast is also tad bad.

Summary:
Jim Raynor vs. Neo.
Leave your rational thinking at opening credits, watch the shots and scenery.
