From the assistant director of 3 Ninjas: Knuckle Up comes an apocalyptic vision of a frozen hell on earth. Sounds like Alberta, Canada. The film is called 10,000 Days and the first trailer premiered a while ago. Not sure how we missed this one as it looks impressive considering the budget, but hey, you can't be everywhere, right?
Synopsis:
10,000 days ago, Comet 23 struck the Pacific Ocean with the magnitude of all the nuclear weapons in the world. The Best Family was among the lucky few who survived the heat blast and fire storms. And then the freezing began. The comet knocked the Earth away from the sun, encasing the planet in snow and ice. For those who survived, life was violent and dangerous.
The daily battle wasn't just against the punishing climate but against each other for the basic necessities that meant life or death. Still, the weather was growing colder and the ice was expanding. Villages were being crushed by violent tremors. And then the Becks found an object from the past, buried deep in the ice. And with it came a choice. A choice that could either save them or destroy them.
You'll find the film's first trailer after the break.
10,000 Days stars John Schneider, Peter Wingfield, James Harvey Ward, Kim Myers.
There is no release date for 10,000 Days yet but once we get word you'll be the first to know!

It's about 28years later. Why not call it that... oh right, zombies have the monopoly on 28 ____ later.
I can't imagine what is inside what ever they found that can help them. Unless it's going to reheat the Earth, It looks like it's game over no matter what.

This looks pretty horrible. Like sub-Day After Tomorrow bad.

At 0:45 when the guy falls off the ice cliff is some of the most compelling effects work I've seen in a long time. This looks epic.

must have cost a fortune to shoot in those arctic locations and build those sets.

In the future arctic apocalypse... only those without breath condensation survive.

Any comet big enough to knock the Earth out of it's orbit would most likely shattered the Earth. And if the Earth drifted into space away from the sun, that would be it. Atmosphere would freeze and it would happen a lot faster than after 10,000 days.

Anon... yeah but its called science FICTION right?
Remember when Danny Boyle's 'Sunshine' wanted to kickstart THE SUN up with a stick of plutonium....aaaaauuum.

I can't stop looking at the scene at 0:45. If that special effect made it into the trailer, how shitty is the other stuff??

Umberto (10 years ago) Reply
Ragazzi sembra carino... certo non un capolavoro ma sembra interessante... aho' poi non si puo' sempre pensare a sti' zombi!!!

Anonymous (10 years ago) Reply
Yeah but the FX at 0:45 makes this trailer worth watching again and again and...I have pains from laughing. We must take it as the B movie it is and realise it doesn't look that bad.

JUDGE FARGO (10 years ago) Reply
The fucker looks like he snow-boarded down the ravine.

0:45! 0:45! 0:45! The future of comedy!

rek (10 years ago) Reply
"0,000 days ago"? I notice QE does this a lot, cutting off the first letter of whatever has been copied and pasted from the press release.
Doesn't anyone proofread this stuff?

@rek
No we don't ;)

TheOpinionDump (10 years ago) Reply
...and it has Bo Duke from The Dukes of Hazard in it (00:47). Maybe they'll break out the General Lee for some ice donuts.

IMDB calls this a TV series from 2010. Is this a film or a TV series.

This has to be a good show, it has Methos in it!!! I will watch it for that alone. IMDB says that a whole season has been filmed. Has it already aired? I can't seem to find it anywhere. If anybody knows where I can find it, please let me know.
