We've all seen images of Karl Urban in his Judge Dredd get-up, but that's about it... until now. Some nice person out there has scanned a bunch of new images from Empire magazine who will cover the scifi/action reboot in their upcoming September issue.

The new, yet unseen images from the film feature a look at a few more judges and the fist glimpse of Olivia Thirlby's Cassandra Anderson. This would be the Juno/Bored to Death star's first action film and I should mention that, yes, I like Olivia Thirlby which is why she gets top billing.

Synopsis:
In a violent, futuristic city, the police have the authority to act as judge, jury and executioner.


Pete Travis, most known for his political thrillers Vantage Point and Endgame is directing the new Dredd film while its script was written by Alex Garland off 28 Days Later, Sunshine and Never Let Me Go fame. It's worth noting that the beauteous Leana Heady is playing the film's villain, Madeline 'Ma-Ma' Madrigal.

Dredd is currently in post production and will see release in the UK first in December 2011. At least that's what it says on IMDB. I can see that changing.

still waiting for a trailer,looks dodgy,but could be one of the biggest surprises of the year if they pull it off.
