Earlier this year we posted a trailer for Bryn Hewko's short film Bred in Captivity. It was a bizarre little trailer for a strange looking little film but something about it caught our attention, along with that of our readers who had a heck of a good time deciphering what it could possibly mean.

I'm no more enlightened now than I was back then but I did promise to bring news of where you might be able to see the short and we have a bit of information on a couple of upcoming screenings.

Hewko's film has been selected as part of the Montreal World Film Festival and will be playing August 22nd (more details here) while our friends in San Francisco will have a chance to catch the short as part of a film mix titled "Soul Patch" as part of the San Francisco Short Film Festival (details on that screening here). I'm still waiting for a Vancouver screening but alas, that doesn't seem to be coming any time soon.

If you happen to catch one of the screenings, drop us a comment. I'm curious to know if the short makes more sense than the trailer does. A bigger look at the new poster after the break!
