Hanna - comes from Brit director Joe Wright of Atonement fame, though the writer, Seth Lochhead, is from B.C. Canada. Represent! The film is a fairly solid coming-of-age film wrapped up as an espionage effort. Saoirse Ronan emerges as a true movie star and Eric Bana has one or two scenes of fantastic ass-kicking, but the real kicker to this piece is the pounding soundtrack by The Chemical Brothers. Do check it out.

A Horrible Way to Die - is a serial killer movie from Adam Wingard (director of POP SKULL). It stars A.J. Bowen as a twisted mofo and I've been hearing a lot about since last year's TIFF.

Scarface Blu-ray - Everyone seems really stoked about this new special Blu-ray release of Scarface. Yeah, I like the movie too, but I don't think I'll be buying the 100 dollar humidor set.

Midnight Madness Series - Image Entertainment are releasing a whole schwack of retro horror titles on Blu-ray and DVD in this special series premiering this week. The titles this week include The Hills Have Eyes, House, House II, Hellraiser, Hellraiser II, Children of the Corn, Creepshow 2Creepshow 2, Return of the Killer Tomatoes.
